Neil Driver

Neil merged his business and joined Davis Grant as a partner in early 2005 after building up his own practice in the local area since 1992. Qualifying with a medium size firm in the west end he spent time in their corporate finance and investigations department acting as secretary to the inspectors in an insider dealing case and also in a fraud squad investigation. Neil then took a job "on the other side of the desk" as financial controller of a lighting plc before returning to the profession. He provides general business and tax advice to clients ranging from small sole trader to multi million pound turnover businesses including specialising in solicitors and other professional sectors. Neil strongly believes traditional accounting should be the starting point of a range of advice available. Adding value to clients and their businesses is a key focus. Neil has experience in delivering a range of bespoke solutions to clients to help them move their businesses from where they are to where they want them to be. As part of this he runs our monthly business builder forum (where accounting and tax jargon are banned!) breakfast meetings. Away from work, Neil lives in Loughton with his wife and two children. He enjoys most sports but especially golf, tennis, scuba diving and skiing as well as (unlike his other partners!) gardening and DIY.
