Davis Grant is now a Xero gold partner. Xero forms a key part of our Cloud Accounting Software solution by providing you with market leading online bookkeeping including a direct link to import your bank statements, live dashboards, reports and alerts.
This new status as a partner reflects an ethos throughout Davis Grant to provide proactive and timely advice capitalising on the technology best suited for your needs.
Modernisation is especially critical to your business given HMRC’s Making Tax Digital initiative. Digital tax requiring online records is currently in a pilot scheme and will be introduced to VAT registered businesses next year.
Our team of experts are always working hard for you. To show appreciation for all their efforts today masseuse Elena visited the office to loosen up tired shoulders and backs.
Did you know that as well as a healthy and active lifestyle there is increasing evidence that we also need to spend less time sitting down? Sitting for long periods is thought to slow the metabolism, which affects the body’s ability to regulate blood sugar, blood pressure and break down body fat.
If you spend a lot of time at a desk or on your laptop make sure you review these tips from the NHS on how to sit correctly.
If you visit Davis Grant over the next few weeks apologies that you will find a little cosmetic improvement work going on.
With roots in East London going back to 1949 the firm in it’s current form moved to Treviot House, Ilford in March 1990.
Nearly 28 years later the Directors are investing in improvement works. The aim is to give you the best experience possible if you need to visit us and set the stage for the future of the firm.
Improvement works include:

Conference and Training rooms with large screens and technology to bring your numbers to life.
Sparkly new toilet facilities.
Fresh and bright decoration with an emphasis on natural light.
Comfortable and contemporary furniture.
Renewed air-conditioning throughout.
Plus there are further improvements that you may not see including a new team kitchen and removal of internal walls. By providing more open-plan workspace and option to hot-desk, we are working to develop our already strong collaborative ethos. Being open and collaborative is a big part of our identity!
At Davis Grant it’s not just about providing our clients with amazing service. We occasionally get out together to celebrate the summer. In what is becoming a regular occasion, this month we again took to the rooftop of Stratford to battle it out at Crazy Golf.
We were glad to welcome four new team members Dylan, Gareth, Justine and Nyree. The team is growing including two ACCA student trainees amongst this cohort.
The team at Davis Grant today wishes Administrator Lesley well as she leaves the firm. She has a been a vital part of the support team for the past seven years. The team got together over a buffet lunch to swap stories, enjoy sandwiches and amazing cake!
I shall miss you all. It’s been a pleasure but I am also looking forward to seeing a bit more of the world, I’m not going to be putting my feet up! It’s been a joy, thank you very much.
Barry Chernoff, Director presented her with cards, gifts and thanks from the whole team and Partners.
Last night two teams from Davis Grant hit the tracks to compete against other firms for the karting trophy. After stuttering start due to an organisational hiccup the 2-hour endurance race got underway.
The competition was fierce with some really serious and experienced racers on the track. Team Davis Grant took it as an opportunity to challenge and improve ourselves. We were proud of our novices for getting out there again and again even in the face of an intense track and some jarring crashes.
The faster racers had some healthy competition for their personal lap-times… Congratulations to our Partner Neil who beat the young trainee upstart Ryan by a mere 0.05 of a second to have the fastest lap! We look forward to seeing the battle recommence next year.
Our partner Neil Driver attended the Dagenham and Redbridge Gold Day this week. We were proud to be able to sponsor a hole and support the work of the Daggers Academy to develop local footballing talent.
Out team came in 3rd place as a team competing for the ‘Bill Edmans Trophy’ but it’s the participation that counts surely?!? In any case, consolation was found by taking 1st and 2nd prizes in the raffle!
Thank you to everyone at Victoria Road for a great day on the greens. It was inspiring to hear from the Dagger’s boss John Still and we wish the team success in the promotion playoffs. Thanks also go to David James for the comical anecdotes!
